probiotic and prebiotic combo

Microbiome Plus+ Gastrointestinal Combo uses the science of synbiotics to combine our L. reuteri NCIMB 30242 probiotic with scFOS prebiotic fiber in one truly innovative product, formulated with the sole purpose of supporting digestive functions, cardiovascular health, and overall wellbeing. Our prebiotic scFOS fiber is a well-researched and doctor-recommended digestive health aid. It is a powerful supplement that offers substantial health benefits as a stand-alone product, but when coupled with Microbiome Plus+ Probiotic L. Reuteri NCIMB 30242, the two supplements form a synbiotic combination that enhances the health benefits of each product.

What are synbiotics?

The word ‘synbiotic’ is derived from the word ‘synergy’, which describes the interaction of elements that when combined produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements. Synbiotics specifically refers to the combination of probiotics and prebiotics that have a synergistic effect on the microbiome. A healthy microbiome supports the gut in inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria while also enhancing the growth of beneficial bacteria. This means that while probiotics and prebiotics have beneficial effects on general well-being if taken alone, but when the two substances are combined they produce a synergistic result that significantly increases the health benefits of each substance.
